If you intend to go the PUG route, then monk.
But if you do have such "extensive" pvp experience, then you should find outfitted heroes superior in every single area with exception of elite missions, in which case any class will do, just look in farming forum which work. |

I personally say Ranger. After I made mine I had a lot of fun. To me it's the most versatile and durable class out there. I went through all three campaigns and if I had to do it all over again, I definatly would.
Oh and I also use said PvE ranger in PvP all the time. From AB to HA to GvG. It's more fun kicking people's asses in 15k than the drab pvp armors you get |

I'd say that the easiest would be Monk, cause you'll always get a PUG even if you are really bad at playing Monk. But if you are going to invest the time to play through all 3 chapters pick a Character that you enjoy playing the most.
eg: I've completed all three chapters with all the classes and must honestly say that i've found my Dervish the most enjoyable. |

Yea, it's a very reasonable thing to have just one PvE character and the others being PvP. I keep one slot open for PvP, but if I wanted, I could delete a couple characters and have even more PvP slots. Plus if your main is a profession that is in demand (like the monk or perhaps ritualist) then you will always be able to help your guildies out.
Also, if you do decide to make PvP characters, a tip is to SAVE EVERY BUILD AND EQUIPMENT SETUP YOU MAKE! It saves time if you switch and decide to go back. I'm so glad Anet finally implemented this because I don't have to write down builds anymore. |

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that you've deleted level 20 toons. I can't even begin to imagine what repeating everything would be like.
I'd have to agree with others, monk and ele. Everyone needs a monk and nuker eles can do massive damage and are almost always wanted. |
